Dive Sussex locates the Dalhousie east of the SS City of Waterford, but Salvmar's salvage operations occurred nearer to the SS Ashford. This was in 1982
One salvage diver authored a book asserting that this wreck was the Dalhousie. Conversely, another diver contended that the wreck near the Ashford was a collier, as evidenced by the coal present, indicating it was indeed an old collier. This diver provided coordinates, but despite a two-hour search, we found nothing. We have since received new coordinates for a site nearby, which may be the wooden collier he mentioned, but it is definitely not the Dalhousie.
From what I can ascertain, and according to the individual who supplied the coordinates, the Dalhousie is likely situated closer to the Owers, significantly further east.
The wooden collier could well be the Lavonia. We are yet to search...
